Author Guidelines
1. Scope and Purpose
Case Research & Review (CRR) publishes high-quality case studies, applied research, and analytical reviews addressing real-world organisational, educational, and public policy issues. The journal promotes rigorous, case-based scholarship that integrates theory, empirical evidence, and practical insights to support teaching, research, and decision-making.
2. Types of Manuscripts
CRR invites the following submissions:
- Case Studies: Empirical or analytical cases based on real organisations or policy contexts
- Teaching Cases: Cases designed for classroom learning and discussion
- Research Articles: Original research with applied or case-based analysis
- Analytical Reviews: Critical reviews of books, policies, or significant research
3. Originality, Ethics, and Plagiarism
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. Authors must ensure proper citation and academic integrity.
- Plagiarism Policy: Similarity should normally be below 10–15% (excluding references); all papers may be screened using plagiarism detection tools
- Ethics: Fabrication, falsification, or duplicate submission will result in rejection
- Case Consent: Authors must obtain necessary permissions; identities should be disclosed only with consent or appropriately anonymised
4. Authorship and Responsibility
Authorship requires substantial contribution to research design, analysis, and manuscript preparation. All authors must approve the final version and accept responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the work. Contributors not meeting authorship criteria should be acknowledged.
5. Manuscript Preparation
- Length: 4,000–6,000 words (including references)
- Structure: Title, Abstract (150–250 words), Keywords (4–6), Introduction, Background/Context, Case/Methodology, Analysis & Discussion, Implications/Decision Points, Conclusion, References
- Format: MS Word; Times New Roman, 12 pt; 1.5 spacing; 1-inch margins
- Tables/Figures: Clearly labelled and placed within text
- Referencing: APA (latest edition)
6. Author Information & Declarations
Submit a separate title page with author names, affiliations, and contact details. The main manuscript must be anonymised for blind review.
Authors must disclose:
- Conflict of Interest
- Funding sources (if any)
- Acknowledgements
- Ethical approval (where applicable)
- Data Availability (where relevant)
7. Peer Review and Editorial Process
CRR follows a double-blind peer review process:
- Initial editorial screening
- Peer review
- Revision (if required)
- Final decision (accept/revise/reject)
Manuscripts may be desk-rejected if they fall outside scope or lack originality or quality.
Indicative timeline: 4–8 weeks.
